They often resemble a hurried hodgepodge of good intentions but then again, here is a veritable explosion of talent in this ensemble of up and coming electronic artists revisiting Proto-Human. Nary a weak track, this is basically a whole other album of music loosely based on what was already a compelling and evocative release. You don't see remix albums so lovingly curated as this one.

Thank you to all of the artists who gave up their time to get involved in this project. All of these are really good remixes and I do hope you enjoy them. The original plan was to release on CD but given the current worldwide situation it just didn't feel right to do so.

REALLY wish I'd subscribed sooner to be able to enjoy this on vinyl! Curious the artist cited 12 Monkeys and not La Jetee as one of the key inspirations. For me, this has a more somber, introspective and timeless feel more akin to La Jetee than 12 Monkeys (though I also am a big fan of Terry Gilliam). Gorgeous music and you get the bonus of a list of excellent movies to enjoy (another note to the artist: Time Crimes is also a good film to watch). Now to somehow procure a vinyl copy...
